Adult Strigoderma sulcipennis beetles are typically brown or tan with a slightly rough or ridged texture on their wing covers (elytra). They are small to medium-sized and have a characteristic oval shape typical of scarab beetles. These beetles are active feeders, and both larvae and adults can cause damage to plants. Adults feed on the foliage of host plants, while larvae feed on roots, sometimes causing significant harm to the plants.
