Chariesterus alternatus is a secies of leaf-footed bug in the family Coreidae. The body is typically brown to grayish, with some individuals showing greenish tones. The overall body shape is oval, typical of the leaf-footed bug family. Catorhintha guttula is a sapsucker, feeding on the sap of plants. It uses its piercing-sucking mouthparts to extract fluids from various plant tissues.
