Aldama dentata is a perennial herb or subshrub in the sunflower family (Asteraceae), native to Mexico. It is distinguished by its toothed (dentate) leaf margins, from which it gets its name, and its vibrant yellow, sunflower-like inflorescences that bloom prominently in open, sunny environments. The plant typically grows in arid to semi-arid habitats, such as rocky hillsides and dry grasslands, where it thrives in well-drained soils. Like other Aldama species, A. dentata plays a role in supporting pollinators and stabilizing soil in erosion-prone areas.
