Mangifera indica, commonly known as the mango, is a large, long-lived tropical fruit tree in the cashew family (Anacardiaceae). mango trees are often found growing outside cultivation, but these are best described as naturalized or feral, not truly wild in the ecological sense. You’ll frequently see mango trees along roadsides, in abandoned fields, near villages, or scattered in secondary forests. The tree can reach heights of 30–40 meters (100–130 feet). he fruit itself is a fleshy drupe that varies greatly in size, shape, colour, and flavour depending on the cultivar—ranging from green to yellow, orange, or red when ripe. Inside is a large flattened seed surrounded by juicy, aromatic pulp that can be sweet to slightly tart.
