Ischnocnemis caerulescens is a species of beetle belonging to the subfamily Cerambycinae within the family Cerambycidae, commonly known as the longhorn beetles. The name "caerulescens" indicates a blue coloration, which can vary from metallic blue to darker shades. They have long, threadlike antennae that can be significantly longer than the body, a defining feature of longhorn beetles.
Diet
Adults: Primarily herbivorous, feeding on leaves, flowers and tender plant tissues.

Range

Habitat
Associated with tropical dry forest, tropical deciduous forest, woodland, scrub, forest edges and secondary vegetation.
Adults are generally encountered on foliage and low vegetation.
The immature habitat is poorly known.

Body small, oval and convex.
Typically bluish to metallic blue, reflecting the meaning of the species name caerulescens, “becoming blue” or “bluish.”
