Tribe Victorinini, commonly known as the peacocks, malachites, and allies, is a colorful group of brush-footed butterflies (family Nymphalidae) found primarily in tropical and subtropical regions of Mexico. Members of this tribe are medium-sized to large butterflies characterized by bold wing patterns, strong flight, and striking combinations of green, blue, white, orange, and black. Many species inhabit forest edges, riverbanks, wetlands, gardens, and sunny clearings, where adults frequently visit flowers and moist ground.
