Disonycha collata is a species of flea beetle in the family Chrysomelidae (leaf beetles), within the tribe Alticini. It is found in Mexico and parts of Central America, where it inhabits a variety of vegetated environments, especially in warm, sunlit areas. D. collata has enlarged hind legs adapted for jumping. When disturbed, it can leap suddenly and quickly, making it difficult to capture or observe closely. Adults feed on leaves, producing small holes or notches. Larvae typically feed on plant tissues, often on roots or foliage depending on the species.
