Tribe Pierini is a widespread and diverse group of butterflies within the family Pieridae that is well represented throughout Mexico in habitats ranging from deserts and grasslands to tropical forests, agricultural areas, and mountain valleys. Commonly known as the whites and marbles, members of this tribe are typically small to medium-sized butterflies with predominantly white, cream, yellow, or pale green wings often marked with black, gray, or orange patterns. They are active, fast-flying butterflies that frequently visit flowers and are important pollinators in both natural and cultivated landscapes.
