Tribe Conotrachelini is a diverse tribe of true weevils within the subfamily Molytinae of the family Curculionidae. Members of this tribe are found primarily in the Americas, with their greatest diversity occurring in tropical and subtropical regions. Conotracheline weevils are typically small to medium-sized beetles characterized by a well-developed rostrum, compact body, and often rough or sculptured surface covered with scales, hairs, tubercles, or ridges that provide excellent camouflage against bark, fruits, seeds, and other plant surfaces.
