TRIBE EUSTYLINI

Tribe Eustylini is a large and diverse tribe of broad-nosed weevils within the subfamily Entiminae of the family Curculionidae. The tribe is primarily distributed throughout the Neotropical region, including Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America, where it reaches its greatest diversity. Eustylines are generally medium-sized weevils with stout bodies, a short broad rostrum, and dense coverings of scales that often produce striking patterns of green, blue, white, gray, brown, or metallic coloration. Many species are among the most colourful broad-nosed weevils in the Americas.
